Empire building days turned into dark days in Africa.

In the year of 1619, there were major tribal wars going on in the country of Angola, in Southwest Africa. History has it that in August, 1619, a Portuguese war ship was carrying a cargo of Angola Africans to Mexico to enslave as laborers. A Dutch war ship met them out in the Atlantic Ocean and traded food to the Portuguese solders for 20 Africans. The Dutch brought the Africans to Jamestown, Virginia, which started the Transatlantic slave trade. 

Not long after this historical event, the Europeans developed the harsh system of AMERICAN SLAVERY. One method of control was to divide and conquer the Africans. That became the Americans slave trade which lasted for 300 years.

 From 1619 to 2019 is 400 years.
